Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Dirt Happens! By booking a service with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These ensure clarity, fairness, and a smooth experience for both you and our team.

1. Bookings

  • All bookings must be made via our website, phone, or WhatsApp.

  • Booking is only confirmed once you receive a confirmation message or email from us.

  • We reserve the right to refuse or reschedule bookings based on availability or access constraints.

2. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • You can cancel or reschedule free of charge with at least 24 hours’ notice.

  • Cancellations within 24 hours of the appointment may incur a 50% late cancellation fee.

  • Missed appointments due to no access will be charged in full.

3. Access

  • Clients are responsible for providing access at the scheduled time. This may include keys, entry codes, or being present.

  • If access is delayed beyond 15 minutes, we may shorten the cleaning time or reschedule (charges may apply).

4. Payments

  • All services must be paid for on the day of the clean unless otherwise agreed.

  • We accept bank transfers, card payments, or cash. Receipts are available upon request.

  • Late payments may incur a 10% surcharge if not settled within 7 days.

5. Scope of Work

  • Services include tasks outlined in your booking (standard, deep, tenancy, etc).

  • Add-ons (e.g., fridge, oven, laundry) must be requested in advance or may be declined on the day depending on time.

  • We reserve the right to decline jobs that fall outside of standard domestic cleaning (e.g., hoarder homes, biohazard cleaning).

6. Quality Guarantee

  • If you are not satisfied with your clean, please notify us within 24 hours and we will arrange a re-clean where appropriate.

  • Re-cleaning must be done within 72 hours of the original service.

7. Liability

  • We are fully insured for public liability and accidental damage.

  • Any damage must be reported to us within 24 hours. We are not liable for pre-existing damage, wear and tear, or poorly secured items.

  • We are not responsible for the movement of heavy furniture or items over 10kg unless pre-agreed.

8. Client Obligations

  • Please ensure the space is safe and free from hazards.

  • Valuable or fragile items should be removed or clearly pointed out.

  • Pets must be secured during the clean for safety.

​

9. Our Team

  • All cleaners are vetted, trained, and insured.

  • We reserve the right to replace your cleaner or send a substitute if your regular team member is unavailable.

10. Changes to Terms

  • We may update these terms occasionally. Changes will be posted on our website and apply to future bookings.
